Subject: Motor Vehicle Accident
On October 29, 2024 at approximately 2:20PM the Elmira Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Hoffman Street for a single vehicle personal injury accident of a vehicle crashed into a tree.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 58-year-old male was operating a Dodge Ram pickup truck in a northerly direction. The driver suffered a medical emergency and crashed into a tree on the east side of the roadway. He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The Elmira Police Department is continuing to investigate this crash.
Officers were assisted by the Elmira Fire Department, Erway Ambulance and Parmenter Towing.
