Subject: Assault
On November 1st ,2024 at approximately, 0400hrs Elmira Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Luce St and Riverside Ave for a report of a disturbance involving one person who had been reportedly stabbed. Upon arrival at the scene officers located a victim who sustained a single stab wound. The victim was treated on scene and taken by ambulance to an area hospital for additional treatment. This investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released at a later time. Based on information learned during this investigation, the victim and suspect were familiar with each other and this was not a random act.
