Subject: Motor Vehicle Accident ***UPDATE***
On November 20th 2024 at approximately 5:50PM Elmira Police Officers responded to the Clemens Center Parkway between E Gray St and E Water St for a motor vehicle crash involving two pedestrians who had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival Elmira Police Officers located two victims in the roadway who had sustained significant injuries. The victims were transported from the scene by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation into this matter.
On November 21st, one of the victims, identified as Judith Morse, an 80-year-old Horseheads resident, died as a result of her injuries. The second victim remains in the hospital in stable condition and is receiving additional treatment. This investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
