On November 9th 2024 at around 6:27PM, Elmira Police Officers were dispatched to the area of the Center Town parking garage for the report of an individual who had been assaulted by a male subject. Shortly thereafter several more similar reports came in regarding the same subject assaulting other victims. The subject then made his way into a local establishment located on W. Water St. and sexually abused a female victim. The victim did seek medical attention from ERWAY ambulance. With a citizen assistance officers locate and identify the suspect nearby. As a result of the investigation Michael J. Valderrama was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse 1st, a class D Felony.
