Subject: Assault Investigation 200 block of W. Water St.
On August 25th, 2024 at approximately 10:19 PM Elmira Police Officers responded to 200 block of W. Water St for a disturbance later determined to be an assault. Upon arrival Officers located a victim who advised he had been stabbed in the left eye. The victim was transported to Arnot Ogden Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. The victim knew and identified the suspect to police. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and has not been located at this time. The investigation is on-going.
