On October 8th, 2024 at around 6:04PM Officers from the Elmira Police Department responded to the 700 block of West Gray Street for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival Officers detained a suspect and conducted an investigation. As a result of the investigation Officers arrested, Alexiya Sutton of Elmira. Sutton is charged with Attempted Murder in the Second degree, a class B Felony and Criminal Possession of a weapon in the Second Degree a Class C Felony. Sutton is currently being held pending arraignment.
